Regional means something that is linked with a particular area. It is related with the term “region” and generally depicts an area on land or water that holds a smaller significance as compared to the actual area surrounding it. For example we may talk about Goa, that forms a region in South India. Similarly we may talk about Texas that forms a small part of South America. It can be a very small portion of a land, it can be a part of a water body.
Each and every region has its own culture and geographical variations. Because of these classifications on regional basis, various diversities are found when we compare one region with the other. It can be also in terms of culinary items, the kind of dresses people wear, the kind of traditions that are followed, the availability of various religions. Some times these classifications are also based on various factors like historical background, political aspect, or cultural cohesiveness that separates a particular area from its neighbors.
